As a comprehensive general dentist, Dr Choe is committed to prevention and the overall oral care for her patients. She has over 20 years of experience as a general dentist treating patients of all ages, including children and senior patients. Her training and experience enables her to successfully treat complex needs of patients in multiple disciplines of dentistry.
As the Chief of Dental Services with the 459 Dental Group at Joint Base Andrews, she brings years of experience with the USAF Dental Corps to her new private practice Westbard Dental. She receives continuing education and training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to bring the most up to date and comprehensive care to her patients. Her areas of focus are prevention, TMJ, occlusion, and esthetics. She really looks at the overall health of the oral cavity to ensure her patients are able to maintain and improve their smile.
Westbard is fully equipped with the latest equipment and technology including intra oral scanners and CBCT to best care for her patients. She is a certified Invisalign provider giving her the ability to incorporate orthodontics in achieving the maximum result in her restorations. Not liking to visit the dentist herself, she understands the anxiety and lack of motivation involved with seeing a dentist. She takes the utmost time, and patience with all patients personalizing every aspect of her care.
Dr. Jay Yoon is a highly experienced provider with extensive experience in implants, full mouth reconstruction, graft surgeries, and surgical extractions. He has successfully placed over 5,000
implants throughout his career, earning a reputation for his efficiency and skill. Patients often express surprise at the ease and speed of the implant procedure, leaving Dr. Yoon’s chair with confidence and minimal discomfort.
Dr. Yoon’s educational journey began at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he graduated with a degree in Biochemistry in 1994. He continued his studies at New York University College of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1999. Following dental school, he served as Chief Resident in General Practice Residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. In 2003, he completed advanced training in Implantology: Surgical and Prosthetics at New York University College of Dentistry under the mentorship of Dr. Tarnow, a renowned figure in the field.
His commitment to excellence and contributions to the field of implantology led to his admission to the International Congress of Implants as a Fellow in 2008 and a member of the Academy of Osseointegration in the same year.
Dr. Yoon currently practices in Rockville and Bethesda, Maryland, as well as Annandale, Virginia. His dedication to his patients is evident in his commitment to providing exceptional care and utilizing his extensive experience to achieve optimal outcomes. Outside of his dental practice, Dr. Yoon enjoys spending time with his family and watching his sons play competitive lacrosse.
